by Michael

Being able to inspire loyalty among subordinates is one of the marks
of a leader. Loyal employees tend to work hard, are more efficient,
and have lower rates of absenteeism.
Here are a few ideas to encourage employee loyalty:
-
Criticize in private
-
Praise in public
-
Keep your commitments
-
Give your subordinates the benefit of the doubt
-
Give honest appraisals of performance to subordinates
-
Correct mistakes as they occur
-
Treat everyone with respect
-
Show appreciation
-
Avoid favoritism
-
Remembers that rewards and recognition work better than
threats and other forms of intimidation in motivating individuals
to improve
their performance
-
Develop specific and measurable goals for every person
who reports to you
-
Don't criticize your manager, your peers or your employer’s
decisions in front of your subordinates
