We called a debtor about a past due balance. They said they filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. What do we do first?

Answer: : Ask the customer for the case number and the Court in which the bankruptcy was filed. Call the clerk of the court to confirm the filing has in fact taken place, and whether it was voluntary or involuntary and a Chapter 11 or a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing.
